What information do we collect from you and for what purposes?
When you visit the website, our web server automatically records details of your visit, so-called "Usage Data” (for example your IP address, the website from which you linked to our website, the type of browser software used, the individual sub-pages of the website that you actually accessed, the date and duration of your visit.
We also collect, process and use personal data that you provide through the website, such as personal details (i.e. name, gender, address, email address, telephone/fax number) that you enter on a login page or when you subscribe to an email newsletter or when you apply for a job at Allianz Global Investors online ("User Data").
We also receive certain data from our affiliate Allianz Global Investors U.S. LLC ("AllianzGI US") that stems from publicly available sources (e.g. freely available on the Internet) ("Analytical Data"), inter alia to evaluate and prepare investment decisions as well as client meetings. Analytical Data regularly do not contain personal data, but this cannot be excluded for all Analysis Data.
Allianz Global Investors collects, processes and uses Usage Data and User Data for:
- the purposes of technical administration and research and development of the website;
- customer and user management;
- marketing, to inform you about our services and products;
- online application processes
On what legal basis do we process the data, and for how long do we store your personal data?
Your Usage Data and User Data is processed in accordance with the above-mentioned purposes for the completion of (pre-)contractual measures (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to pursue our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), such as the further development of the website or marketing.
As far as Analysis Data contain personal data, we process such data to pursue our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We want to better prepare investment decisions as well as client meetings and can carry out more precise assessments in advance of these decisions/meetings based on the Analysis Data to improve our services provided to you. If we intend to process Analysis Data for other purposes, in particular for the performance of a contractual relationship, we will inform the data subjects separately if necessary.
We store your personal data for as long as we need it to achieve these objectives. As soon as we no longer need your personal data for the purposes mentioned, we will delete the data from our systems, unless we are legally obliged to store it.

Who do we share your information with?
For the purposes of providing services to Allianz Global Investors, and for the other purposes set out above, Allianz Global Investors may share your information with affiliates and representatives of Allianz Global Investors, and third parties such as marketing agencies or web analytics service providers within and outside of your country of residence.

Your personal data may be transferred to recipients in countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area, which may have a lower level of data protection. Privacy Notice for Newsletter Subscription
This Privacy Notice explains how Allianz Global Investors (“AllianzGI”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) processes your privacy and personal information (i.e. any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual person, „Personal Data“) when you subscribe to our newsletters, product insights or event invitations (“Email Marketing”) in our Subscription Center. It also outlines your rights under applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“EU GDPR”) and the UK GDPR which is the EU GDPR as transposed into the laws of England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland by virtue of section 3 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018) (“UK GDPR”) (collectively, “GDPR”).
1. Data Controller
Allianz Global Investors GmbH (“AllianzGI”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is the Data Controller responsible for data processing that is directly related to the use of the Subscription Center. This means it is the entity deciding why and how to collect and process your Personal Data.
In addition, other companies of AllianzGI Group may become responsible for the processing of your Personal Data (for example in cases you receive the newsletter subscribed to by another AllianzGI Group entity). A list of all AllianzGI entities with respective contact details is available under https://www.allianzgi.com/en/our-firm/our-offices.
To the extent that two or more AllianzGI Group entities process your Personal Data in a joint manner, we kindly ask you to address any queries you may have to the Data Protection Officer whose details are set out at the end of this Privacy Notice. The Data Protection Officer will then forward your query to the AllianzGI entity who is primarily responsible, if necessary.
2. What Personal Data Do We Collect?
When you subscribe to Email Marketing, we collect and process the following categories of Personal Data from you:
- Contact details: such as your name, email address, salutation and title if provided, and language preference.
- Interaction data: including whether you open our emails, click on links, or interact with embedded content in which case we also collect the time and device of interaction. This is tracked using standard email tracking technologies (e.g., pixels or unique URLs).
In case of a registration to Email Marketing and if legally required, we verify your email address using what is known as double opt-in procedure. As part of this process, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your data and your consent to receive Email Marketing. You can unsubscribe from Email Marketing at any time.
If you are already a business partner of ours (such as investors and client representatives), your data may be linked to your information gathered during our business relationship, provided the same email address is used for this purpose.
3. Purpose of Processing
We process your Personal Data for the following purposes:
- To send you Email Marketing and updates tailored to your interests.
- To monitor engagement with our communications (e.g., open rates, click-through rates) to improve content relevance and delivery.
- To ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Where and to the extent this is required by applicable data protection laws and regulations, the processing of your Personal Data is based on your consent (for example, under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you provide when subscribing to our Email Marketing. You may withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any Email Marketing (using the Subscription Center) or contacting us directly.
When performing statistical analyses of Email Marketing this processing is carried out based on our legitimate interests (for example, under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) unless applicable local laws require a different legal basis.
Where required, we send a confirmation email as part of the double opt-in procedure to verify your email address. This fulfills our legal obligation (for example, under Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR) to ensure the accuracy of your contact details.
5. Tracking Technologies
We use tracking technologies to understand how recipients interact with our newsletters. This includes:
- Whether the email was opened.
- Which links were clicked.
- Time and device of interaction.
This data helps us optimize our communication strategy and ensure that our content remains relevant and engaging for you. This tracking does not produce legal effects or similarly significant impacts on you. It is used solely for marketing personalization.
6. Data Sharing and Transfers
Your Personal Data may be shared with:
- Entities within the AllianzGI Group or our parent company Allianz Group where this is reasonably necessary or desirable (e.g. for purposes of fraud prevention);
- Service providers that AllianzGI has retained to perform services on its behalf, such as IT or Marketing service providers; these service providers are not permitted to use the Personal Data for their own purposes but are required to solely process the data upon instructions received from AllianzGI;
- Law enforcement or other government authorities, if required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of others or ourselves;
- Other parties in the event of any contemplated or actual reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of AllianzGI’s business, assets or stock (including in any insolvency or similar proceedings), if applicable.
In doing so it goes without saying that AllianzGI complies with all applicable data protection laws and regulations.
7. Where We Process Personal Data
Your personal data may be transferred to recipients in countries outside the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, which may have a lower level of data protec-tion. If you are contracting with Allianz Global Investors GmbH or one of our EU branches or subsidiaries, whenever we transfer your Personal Data within the Allianz Group to another entity outside of the EU / EEA, we will do so on the basis of Allianz’ approved binding corporate rules (“Allianz’ BCR”) which establish adequate protection for Personal Data and are legally binding on all Allianz Group companies. 8. Data Retention
We retain your Personal Data for as long as you remain subscribed to our Email Marketing. Interaction data is retained for a maximum of 12 months for analytical purposes unless a longer retention period is required by law.

12. Updates to this Privacy Notice
We may update this Data Privacy Notice from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes to this Data Privacy Notice in the Subscription Center, in the Email Marketing or through other appropriate communication channels.
